4-Square Writing for Science
ELA Standard 1 (five-paragraph reports)

For each of the links below, the PDF document provides a sample of the 4-Square followed by a sample Written report. A few of the documents also provide student exemplars at the end. For some of the science reports (i.e. the Matter Report 2), the 4-Square refers to graphic organizers that students use for taking notes from their text. Links to these graphic organizers are at the bottom of this page. Acrobat Reader is needed for all documents.
